This peel harnesses the power of Mandelic Acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds, known for its antibacterial and exfoliating properties. Its larger molecular structure allows for slower penetration, making it ideal for sensitive skin types and higher Fitzpatrick tones. You may feel a mild tingling sensation as the acid works to dissolve dead skin cells and impurities. The peel is then neutralized and followed by soothing post-treatment care to calm and protect your skin. Recommended Frequency: For optimal results, a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart is recommended based on your skin concerns. Please read PRE TREATMENT CARE below. Discontinue use of active topicals such as; Retinoids (Retin-A, Retinol) Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) Acne treatments or bleaching agents Avoid hair removal methods like waxing, tweezing or depilatory creams on the area. Stop exfoliating with scrubs or mechanical devices. Limit sun exposure and avoid tanning beds. Please inform us if you; Have a history of cold sores (you may need antiviral medication). Are pregnant or breastfeeding. Have used Accutane in the past 6-12 months. Have any allergies or sensitivities. Post-Treatment Care: Avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum SPF daily. Mild redness or flaking may occur but typically subsides within a few days. Follow-up care with hydrating and restorative products is essential to maintain results. A skin consultation will be carried out prior to your treatment to assess the best options for your skin concerns.
